Julia has to make a special delivery…for her friend in the snowy forest.
Julia loves winter, but misses her forest friends, who can't come out to play with her during the cold season. When she discovers that animals are having trouble finding food under the snow, she sets out on an expedition to deliver a gift to her book-loving friend Bertrand the Bear. But pulling his heavy sled through the woods alone proves impossible. Could the cute heart-shaped footprints be a sign that help, and perhaps a new friend, is nearby?
With its sparkling illustrations that immerse us in a magical setting, this warm tribute to the winter season and the cozy pleasure of reading with friends invites children to trace their own snow angels, then come inside to warm up with a book and a treat.
The book also includes an informative section on the habits of animals during the cold period, as well as the recipe for Bertrand's winter specialty, to cook with the family.
